Dear Blizzard,
I represent countless players who enjoy playing on your RP servers. Many of us are rather burned out on the PVE/PVP aspects of the game, and role-playing is the main reason we continue to play World of Warcraft. With that in mind, I would like to address something that has become a rather serious problem for your role-playing community.
As with many things, it only takes one mean-spirited person to spoil the good time of many. I cannot tell you how many RP events I have attended that were ruined by these “RP griefers,” and regardless of how many times they are reported to you for their actions, very little seems to be done to stop the continued harassment.
I would like to make a request on behalf of the RP community, a group which represents a significant number of your customers. You have continued to add wonderful PVE/PVP content to the game, but you have not addressed the needs of your customers who focus primarily on the RP aspect of World of Warcraft. This is something that we would like to see changed.
My proposal is this: could you not add a building, a hall, a house, something to each of the major cities, or even just to one city for each faction, which is set up like an instance for RP? This way those of us who want to hold events and RP with our friends could do so without constant interruption by the few bad sports who get kicks out of trying to ruin it for us.
Such a building could be rather useful on normal and PVP servers as well. I know many who would appreciate a place to hold guild meetings and the like without interruptions or uninvited guests. I truly believe that this would be a very constructive and welcome addition to the game.
I hope that you will give this suggestion due consideration. Please let us know that you care about your RP community as much as those whose main objective is PVE or PVP. We may be a minority, but we are your customers too.
Thank you for your time.
